How to Get More Google Reviews with a QR Code
Reviews are local SEO
When someone searches 'salon near me' or 'best thali in Ahmedabad', Google ranks nearby businesses largely on review count, rating and recency. Reviews are the one ranking factor you can directly influence this week — if you make reviewing effortless.
The problem is friction: a happy customer would rate you, but 'search us on Google and find the review button' is four steps too many. A review QR collapses it to one scan — the star selector opens directly.
Get the right link
In Google Business Profile (business.google.com or the Maps app), choose 'Ask for reviews' and copy the short g.page/r/…/review link. This is the direct review-form link — not your listing URL. Paste it into our Google Review QR generator and download the PNG, or create a hosted review page with your name and stars for a more branded moment.
Placement beats persuasion
Put the QR where satisfaction peaks: the bill folder or receipt, the packaging insert, the checkout counter, the service-completion card a technician leaves behind. Label it plainly — 'Loved it? Scan to rate us ⭐' outperforms an unexplained code every time.
Track it: a dynamic review QR shows you scans per day and per location, so you learn which placement works. If the counter card gets 10× the scans of the door sticker, print more counter cards.
Stay inside Google's rules
Asking for reviews is allowed and encouraged. What's prohibited: paying or discounting for reviews, review gating (asking only customers you know are happy), and bulk soliciting from one device. A neutral ask shown to every customer is fully compliant — and honestly, a few 4-star reviews make your profile more credible than a wall of suspicious 5s.
